Satima\, also known as Ol Doinyo Satima\, stands as a breathtaking jewel in the heart of Kenya. Nestled within the Aberdare Range\, this 3rd highest peak in the country reaches an elevation of 4\,001 meters (13\,120 feet) above sea level. We will use the Rhino Gate\, drive through the indigenous forest leading to the forest edge and start our hike at Ole Satima start point\, to Dragon Teeth whose formation is a sporadic arrangement of rocks emerging from the damp moorland and marshes of the Aberdares. We shall then summit Mt Satima peak and make our descent to Ole Satima start point. Mt Satima is known as one of the most beautiful and scenic hiking destinations in Kenya and this hike is ideal for anyone preparing for Mt Kenya or looking to get into high altitude climbing. \nDifficulty Level : Challenging (perfect for high altitude training) \nTrail Distance:15 kms. \nElevation gain: 650m \nDuration of Hike: 6-7 hours \nHow to dress for this hike:\n– Beanie/Warm Headgear\,Thermal top\, Warm Jacket\, Hiking Pants\, Hiking Bag.\n– Comfortable waterproof hiking shoes with a good grip.
