The forest is nestled within the folds of a geologically active volcanic mountain\, whose highest peak\, Ol Doinyo Eburu\, which stands 2\,837m asl. \nThe Mau Eburu Forest covers the slopes of Mount Eburu – a striking\, geologically active volcanic massive towering above the floor of the Great Rift Valley\, northwest of Lake Naivasha.
