It gets its name from the elephant-shaped ridge that can be seen from certain angles towards the summit. The hike to the summit provides an opportunity to experience the beauty of the other famous peaks such as 12 Apostles\, Mt Kinangop and Mt Kenya. This hike is recommended as one of the most beautiful and scenic hiking destinations in Kenya\, and it’s very ideal for anyone preparing for Mt Kenya\, Kilimanjaro\, or looking to get into high altitude climbing. \nDifficulty Level : Challenging (perfect for high altitude training)\nTrail Distance:18 kms.\nElevation gain: 1\,150m\nDuration of Hike: 7-8 hours \nHow to dress for this hike:\n– Beanie/Warm Headgear\,Thermal top\, Warm Jacket\, Hiking Pants\, Hiking Bag.\n– Comfortable waterproof hiking shoes with a good grip.
