DESCRIPTION:Climb: Mt Kenya  (Ascent- Sirimon\, Descent- Sirimon). \nDates: Saturday 16th – Sunday 17th May\, 2026 \nPick-up Point: Nairobi. \nCharges:\nKenyan Citizens: Ksh. 38\,000 \nKenyan Residents: Ksh. 45\,000 \nNon-Residents: $550 \nClimbing Schedule: \nDay 1: Drive from Nairobi to Sirimon Gate\, then proceed to Old Moses Camp (3\,300m) by car. Start the hike from Old Moses to Shipton Camp (4\,200m). \nDay 2:  Trek from Shipton Camp to Point Lenana (4\,895m) for sunrise\, then descend back to Old Moses Camp and Sirimon Gate. Drive back to Nairobi. \nThis schedule is ideal for seasoned climbers with strong fitness and acclimatization\, completing the ascent and descent in less than 48hrs. \nEND OF THE TRIP. \nKey Notes: \n • Fitness Level: High – This trek involves long hours of walking and requires excellent stamina. We would highly recommend this adventure for individuals with a high fitness level\, and previous experience with Mt. Kenya summits or similar treks is essential. If you’ve done Kilimanjaro and are looking to push your limits\, this is the perfect challenge for you. Prior experience at high altitudes is also recommended for a safe and successful climb. \n • Hydration & Nutrition: Hydration & Nutrition: Our guides will assist in ensuring you stay hydrated throughout the climb\, helping you fill up on water before starting your ascent. For energy\, we recommend bringing snacks that you are already familiar with and have used before—avoid trying new snacks during the climb. Energy bars and other personal favorites will be your best option to keep your energy levels up. Meals will be provided at the camps. \n • Gear: Ensure you have warm clothing\, trekking poles\, and a headlamp for the summit attempt. Refer to the gear checklist. \n• Safety: A guide is mandatory for navigation and safety during the trek. Our experienced guides are trained in high-altitude trekking\, first aid\, and emergency procedures to ensure your well-being at all times. They will lead you along the route\, manage the pace\, and provide support\, especially during challenging sections.
