Its most distinctive feature is its perfectly circular crater with scenic views of Lake Naivasha and the Rift Valley. This mountain is a popular destination for hikers and trekkers\, offering a variety of great challenges: up to the crater point\, up to the summit\, and round the crater rim. \nDifficulty Level : Moderate.\nTrail Distance: 12 kms.\nDuration of Hike: 5-6 hours \nWhat to wear:\n– Tights/cargo pants or comfortable and fast dry hiking clothes\n– Warm jacket.\n– Comfortable hiking shoes\, preferably hiking boots or gym/sports shoes with good sole grip.\n– Hat/cap for sun protection \nWhat to carry:\n– Water (3 liters)\n– Snacks/energy bars/your preferred trail food.\n– Rain gear/Poncho\n– Small hiking bag to carry luggage (25L-30L recommended)\n– Sunscreen (optional)\n– Face mask. \nTake note of the following key times:\nMeeting Time at International House: 5.30am bus leaves at exactly 5.40am.
