DESCRIPTION:KARURU\, MAGURA & CHANIA WATERFALLS- ABERDARES TRIP ITINERARY \nDate: Saturday\, 14th March\, 2026.\nMeeting point: International Life House.\nMeeting time: 5:15am\nDeparture time: 5:20am \nCharges:\nKenyan Citizens: Khs.4\,600 \nKenyan Residents: Ksh.5\,200 \nAfrican Citizen: $75 \nNon-Residents:$106 \nAbout the Trail:\nDiscover the stunning Karuru\, Magura\, and Chania Waterfalls\, along with Queen’s Cave\, located in Aberdare National Park. You will explore an 8km unique trail providing breathtaking forest views\, offering you a chance to spot wildlife. We shall begin our adventure at the Tallest waterfall in Kenya\, Karuru Falls\, then visit Magura and conclude at Chania Waterfall\, where you can either choose to swim or find a peaceful spot for meditation and relaxation. The hike is exclusive to Karuru\, while a vehicle will take us to view the other waterfalls. Access to the other falls is just a short walk. This trip will also include a cool game drive at the Aberdares. \nDifficulty Level : Moderate/Very Beginner/Child Friendly\nTrail Distance:8 kms.\nDuration of Hike: 4-5 hours \nWhat to wear for this hike:\n– Beanie/Warm Headgear\,Thermal top\, Warm Jacket\, Hiking Pants\, Hiking Bag.\n– Comfortable waterproof hiking shoes with a good grip. (Tip: always wear a size bigger or half bigger than your normal shoe size)\n-Hat/cap/ sunglasses for sun protection (optional)\n-Optional Extras: Trekking Pole\, Light Gloves. \nWhat to carry:\n– Water (2 or 3 liters)\n– Snacks/energy bars/your preferred trail food.\n– Rain gear/Poncho/Rain Jacket\n– Small hiking bag to carry luggage (30L recommended)\n– Sunscreen (optional)\n– Face mask.\n– Camera (optional) \nTake note of the following key times:\nMeeting Time at International House: 5:15am bus leaves at exactly 5.20am.
