Climbing Schedule:

Day 1: Sunday, 26th April

Arrival in Moshi

  • Depart Nairobi early in the morning to Moshi, Tanzania (approx. 8-hour drive).
  • Check into your hotel in Moshi.
  • Pre-climb briefing with our guides, gear check, and itinerary overview.

Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi.
Meals: Dinner.

Day 2: Monday, 27th April

Moshi to Marangu Gate to Mandara Hut

  • Transfer from Moshi to Marangu Gate (1,870m).
  • Register at the gate and begin trekking through the lush rainforest to Mandara Hut (2,700m).

Trekking Distance: ~8 km (5–7 hours).
Elevation Gain: ~830m.
Accommodation: Mandara Hut.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 3: Tuesday, 28th April

Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut

  • Depart Mandara Hut and trek through heather and moorland terrain to Horombo Hut (3,720m).
  • Catch stunning views of Kibo and Mawenzi peaks.

Trekking Distance: ~12 km (6–8 hours).
Elevation Gain: ~1,020m.
Accommodation: Horombo Hut.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 4: Wednesday, 29th April

Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut

  • Ascend through alpine desert to Kibo Hut (4,700m).
  • Early dinner and rest before the midnight summit attempt.

Trekking Distance: ~10 km (5–7 hours).
Elevation Gain: ~980m.
Accommodation: Kibo Hut.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 5: Thursday, 30th April

Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak to Horombo Hut

  • Begin your summit attempt around midnight.
  • Trek via Gilman’s Point (5,685m) to Uhuru Peak (5,895m), the highest point in Africa.
  • After celebrating at the summit, descend back to Horombo Hut for the night.

Trekking Distance: ~15 km (10–14 hours).
Elevation Gain: ~1,195m ascent, ~2,175m descent.
Accommodation: Horombo Hut.
Meals: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Day 6: Friday, 1st May

Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate to Moshi

  • Descend through the rainforest to Marangu Gate (1,870m).
  • Receive your summit certificate and transfer back to Moshi for the night.

Trekking Distance: ~20 km (5–7 hours).
Elevation Loss: ~1,850m.
Accommodation: Hotel in Moshi.
Meals: Breakfast and lunch.

Day 7: Saturday, 2nd May’

Return to Nairobi

  • Take a morning shuttle from Moshi back to Nairobi, arriving in the afternoon.

Meals: Breakfast.

Payment Terms:

  • Reservation Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total cost is required at the time of booking to secure your spot, and plan for logistics.
  • ⁠For full Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full at least  2 weeks before the scheduled tour date.

Cancellations and Refund Policy:

    • All cancellations must be submitted in writing by the client. The effective date of cancellation shall be the date the written notice is received.
    • Cancellations made more than thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled departure date: The client shall receive a refund of amounts paid less the non-refundable reservation deposit.
    • Cancellations made between fourteen (14) and thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled departure date: The client shall forfeit seventy percent (70%) of the total trip cost. Any remaining balance paid, if applicable, shall be refunded.
    • Cancellations made less than ten (10) days prior to the scheduled departure date: The client shall forfeit one hundred percent (100%) of all payments made. No refunds shall be issued.
    • No-Show Policy: No refunds will be issued for no-shows.
