Key Notes:

Fitness Level: High – This trek involves long hours of walking and requires excellent stamina. We would highly recommend this adventure for individuals with a high fitness level, and previous experience with Mt. Kenya summits or similar treks is essential. If you’ve done Kilimanjaro and are looking to push your limits, this is the perfect challenge for you. Prior experience at high altitudes is also recommended for a safe and successful climb.

Hydration & Nutrition: Hydration & Nutrition: Our guides will assist in ensuring you stay hydrated throughout the climb, helping you fill up on water before starting your ascent. For energy, we recommend bringing snacks that you are already familiar with and have used before—avoid trying new snacks during the climb. Energy bars and other personal favorites will be your best option to keep your energy levels up. Meals will be provided at the camps.

Gear: Ensure you have warm clothing, trekking poles, and a headlamp for the summit attempt. Refer to the gear checklist.

Safety: A guide is mandatory for navigation and safety during the trek. Our experienced guides are trained in high-altitude trekking, first aid, and emergency procedures to ensure your well-being at all times. They will lead you along the route, manage the pace, and provide support, especially during challenging sections. Additionally, they will monitor your health and help with any acclimatization needs to minimize risks associated with altitude. Your safety is our top priority, and having a guide ensures a smooth, safe, and enjoyable experience.
