About the Trail:
Kenze Gorges is a scenic hike in the Kilome Hills of Makueni County, known for its striking sandstone walls, winding riverbeds, and wave-like rock formations. The 10–12 km trail descends from Mukaa into a hidden gorge carved by a seasonal river, offering a mix of gentle walking paths, rocky sections, and shallow pools that make it both fun and adventurous. With its colorful cliffs, natural light beams, and quiet, off-beat charm, Kenze Gorges is a moderate-difficult hike perfect for explorers seeking a beautiful and less-crowded trail in Ukambani.

Duration of Hike: 5-6 hours
What to wear:
– Tights/cargo pants or comfortable and fast dry hiking clothes
– Warm jacket.
– Comfortable hiking shoes, preferably hiking boots or gym/sports shoes with good sole grip.
– Hat/cap for sun protection
What to carry:
– Water (3 liters)
– Snacks/energy bars/your preferred trail food.
– Rain gear/Poncho
– Small hiking bag to carry luggage (25L-30L recommended)
– Sunscreen (optional)
– Face mask.

– Cancellations made more than two (2) days prior to the trip are eligible for a refund minus the booking fee.
– Cancellations made within two (2) days of the trip will incur a 70% charge of the total amount payable.
– Cancellations made one (1) day prior, on the trip date, or failure to attend will result in no refund.
