Mount Kenya – Point Lenana (4 days, 3 nights)

February 26 - March 1

Climb: Mt Kenya  (Ascent- Sirimon, Descent- Sirimon).

Dates: 26th February – 1st March, 2025.

Duration: 4 days, 3 nights.

Pick-up Point: Nairobi.

Charges:
Kenyan Citizens: Kshs. 55,000

Kenyan Residents: Kshs. 65,000

Climbing Schedule:

Day 1: Nairobi – Nanyuki – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)

Depart Nairobi early morning for Nanyuki, where we’ll make a quick stop to finalize preparations. The trek begins at Sirimon Gate, winding through montane forests and moorlands before arriving at Old Moses Camp.

Day 2: Old Moses Camp – Shipton Camp (4,200m)

Trek through Mackinder’s Valley, surrounded by unique mountain flora and breathtaking views of the peaks. Shipton Camp, nestled at the base of towering peaks, offers a perfect spot for acclimatization.

Day 3: Shipton Camp – Point Lenana (4,895m) – Old Moses Camp (3,300m)

Summit Point Lenana at sunrise, where you’ll enjoy spectacular views of the African plains and nearby peaks. Descend to Old Moses, for a well-earned rest and reflection on the day’s achievement.

Day 4: Old Moses Camp- Sirimon Gate- Nairobi

We shall wake up for an early breakfast and wrap up our Mt. Kenya adventure. After a final hike down to Sirimon Gate, our transfer vehicle will be waiting to take us back to Nairobi.

Alternatively, we also offer gear for hire, including essentials you may need for the trek. Our team is here to assist you with your preparation every step of the way to ensure you’re fully equipped for the journey.

COST INCLUDES:

  • Private transport from Nairobi and back.
  • Park fees, and mountain banda accommodation as per itinerary.
  • Full board meals on the mountain and boiled water.
  • Licensed mountain guide, cook & porter services.
  • Emergency evacuation insurance (covering helicopter rescue on Mount Kenya)
  • Leave No Trace Adventure.

COST EXCLUDES:

  • Hiring of mountain hiking gears like; Sleeping bags, Hiking boots, Hiking clothes etc.
  • Health and travel Insurance.
  • Personal snacks.
  • Tips for the climbing crew. 
  • Anything else not listed above.

Payment Terms:

  • Reservation Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of 40% of the total cost is required at the time of booking to secure your spot, and plan for logistics.
  • ⁠For full Payment: The remaining balance must be paid in full at least 10 days before the scheduled tour date.
